The 18mm magnetic screw caps are designed for use with any autosampler using a magnet to transport the vial from station to station. The closures are preassembled with a variety of septa. Magnetic Screw Caps with Pre-Cut Star Septa:Preassembled closures include pre-cut septa where only the carrier is cut through in a Y- form, leaving the PTFE lamination in tact. The unhurt PTFE lamination gives 100% protection to the sample while leaving a 0.05mm thick PTFE portion remaining for needle penetration. The Y-form in the pre-cut silicone allows for a better flow of air during sample pick up in order to avoid a vacuum in the vial. Designed for use with any autosampler using a magnet to transport the vial from station to station.
